Viewers of ITV Yorkshire may have noticed that Calendar presenter Christine Talbot has been missing from our screens for the past two weeks. Sadly it was announced on this evening's programme that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Christine's co-presenter Duncan Wood said that Christine wants it to be known that she is going to be fine, and is looking forward to getting back to work. She has tweeted that she has begun treatment. We wish Christine a speedy recovery, and look forward to seeing her on Calendar again soon.
All the best Christine

ReplyDeleteI wondered where Christine had been since Calendar programmes in December. Having only just read (21.3.12) the devastating news of her illness I am deeply sad for her. She is so charming. MEN cannot fully appreciate the mental agony that a woman must endure with such news, quite apart from the serious nature of the illness, and the effect on her natural figure. I genuinely pray that she sees a speedy recovery to enjoy work and family life again. Christine clearly has enormous support and look forward to her appearing on screen soon. Best wishes, Sue and Bill in Hull.

I have been in your shoes twice (both sides affected), but came out of it well and that was 1998 and 2000 and I am still here!!
